Information Sheet: Information Sheet 2022

Positioned in Queensland's burgeoning Brisbane-Gold Coast corridor, Griffith University is a six-campus University with more than 21,000 students and 2,500 teaching staff. As well as its original Nathan location, the University has five other campuses including the Gold Coast, Mt Gravatt and Logan. Also under the auspices of Griffith is Australia's largest music school, the Queensland Conservatorium, and the nation's oldest art institution, the Queensland College of Art.

Cross-disciplinary teaching and research is one of the University's hallmarks and its courses challenge rigid academic structures. Following early initiatives in the areas of environmental science and modern Asian studies, Griffith has been quick to take the lead in other new disciplines, introducing new courses in areas as diverse as micro-electronic engineering, child and family studies, biomedical science, contemporary Australian indigenous art and multimedia.

Griffith's world-class research continues to figure prominently on the international stage. With almost 50 specialised research centres, institutes and units, advances in areas including nanotechnology, molecular biology, psychology and media policy studies have allowed Griffith to gain the necessary critical mass to attract major funding from both national and international interest.
