University
At the University of Hull, our students are at the heart of all we do, which explains why we rank consistently as one of the top 20 mainstream English universities for student satisfaction in the National Student Survey. From Day 1 at the university we make sure you are offered all the academic and administrative support you need  for an excellent well-rounded student experience. During the International Welcome week we organise a variety of events, such as a societies fair, sports events, parties and trips to the city of Hull, aiming to introduce you to the life at the university. See what our students say.

The unique spirit of the city of Hull and its close proximity to the university’s campus are very appealing to our students. With 3 shopping centres, 2 theatres, an old town and a variety of pubs and shops, the city of Hull is ideal for spending your free time away from the campus. There are 8 direct trains from Hull to London a day, with the journey lasting only 2.5 hours. Hull is an even more unique place now that it has been chosen to be UK’s City of Culture for 2017.

Our 125-acre campus is a blend of traditional and modern with beautiful Grade II listed buildings. We have ensured that you have easy access to everything you need during your day, without having to leave the campus. There are numerous cafes, bars and our award-winning nightclub Asylum; the Sports and Fitness Centre plus the playing fields and Astroturf pitches; a well-stocked shop and a bookstore; even an art gallery and a hairdresser.

The Brynmor Jones library on Hull campus was recently completely transformed by a refurbishment worth £27.4m and is now both a stunning study facility and a great place for relaxing and catching up with friends. In July 2013 we opened the new biomedical research facility – The Allam Building - thanks to a £1.5m donation by Dr Assem Allam.

At The University of Hull we offer a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across our six faculties: Arts and Social Sciences; Health and Social Care; Education; Science and Engineering; Hull University Business School; and Hull York Medical School. This means that you’re sure to find your perfect course whatever your area of interest or level of study to date. Prospective students can feel confident about their career when deciding to study with us: 93% of our graduates from the 2012-2013 academic year had progressed on to work or further study within six months of graduating. See what our students say about their course at the University of Hull.

The University of Hull has an established reputation  for excellence  in both teaching and research. 95.7% of our students were satisfied with ‘Expert  Lecturers’ in The  Student Barometer Autumn Wave 2014. Two of the University’s research breakthroughs - the development of liquid crystal technology and a bone  density  scanner - made it into the Eureka UK list of ‘100 discoveries in UK universities that changed the world’.

The University of Hull offers a range of accommodation options to suit the students' varied needs. We were ranked 1st out of 46 universities in The Student Barometer Autumn Wave 2014 for Accommodation Cost.
